Our Quality Standards
When you buy from GlobalGeeks, you know exactly what to expect, no matter what stock you order. Every unit undergoes a very strict grading and quality control process following PhoneCheck, the industry standard 60-Point inspection method.
Each unit is ready to ship after it’s been sanitized, data-wiped, paired with an IMEI barcode sticker and bagged individually.
Grading Guidelines
Brand New
Devices and accessories, if included, are brand new and sealed in the original box. Devices have never been used. Devices pass all functionality tests, are ready for activation and have no iCloud lock. All devices are sold as provided by the manufacturer.
Apple CPO
Every Apple Certified Refurbished product completes a rigorous refurbishment process that includes full testing that meets the same functional standards as new Apple products. Your refurbished device is truly “like new,” with special savings.
Carrier CPO
These devices are certified by the manufacturer or a recognized telecommunications carrier such as Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc. and are graded, but not limited to, as follows: “like-new”, “great”, “very good”, “good”, etc. Condition and certification is complete only after passing through rigorous quality and functionality tests. These devices often come with a carrier limited warranty, and are ready for activation with no iCloud lock. Devices can either come kitted with accessories, or HSO (hand set only).
Grade A+
Devices are very lightly used and can be considered in “Mint”, “Pristine”, or “Flawless” condition with no signs of use. At first glance, devices are free of all imperfections such as scratches, scuffs, and dents, however upon close inspection, devices may have one, or few, extremely minor imperfections. These devices are considered to be the highest cosmetic standard for used devices. Devices pass all cosmetic and functionality tests. Devices are ready for use and have no iCloud lock.
Grade A/A+
Devices are lightly to very lightly used and are considered to be in “Pristine”, or “Like New” condition. Devices may have one or few minor imperfections, specifically near the charging ports, Apple logo, camera, corners, or other sensitive areas of the device. At first glance, devices appear in excellent cosmetic condition. Devices pass all cosmetic and functionality tests. Devices are ready for use and have no iCloud lock.
Grade A
Devices are lightly used and are considered to be in “Like New” or “Excellent” condition with little to no signs of use at first glance. Devices may have a few very minor imperfections or blemishes, specifically near the charging ports, apple logo, camera, or corners. Devices pass all cosmetic and functionality tests. Devices are ready for use and have no iCloud lock.
Grade A/B
Devices are lightly to moderately used and are considered to be in “Great” or “Very Good” condition. Devices may have minor imperfections such as scratches, dings, scuffs, nicks, light discoloration, etc. Devices pass all cosmetic and functionality tests. Devices are ready for use and have no iCloud lock.
Grade B/C
Devices are moderately to heavily used and can be described as “Good” condition. Devices may have multiple light or heavy scratches, dings, dents, scuffs, nicks, discoloration, etc. Devices pass all cosmetic and functionality tests. Devices are ready for use and have no iCloud lock.
Grade C
Devices are used and have heavy signs of use. Devices have many scratches and noticeable dings, dents and scuffs on the housing. Devices pass all functionality tests, are ready for activation and have no iCloud lock.
PGL – Power up/Good LCD
Devices power up and have a good LCD. Devices may be functional with one or more minor issues. Issues include bad speakers, cameras, etc. Device activation is not guaranteed. Devices restore and have no iCloud lock.
PCG – Power Up/Good LCD Cracked
Devices power up and have a good LCD with cracked glass. Devices may be functional with minor issues. Issues include bad speakers, camera, etc. Device activation is not guaranteed. Devices restore and have no iCloud lock.
PBL – Power Up/Bad LCD
Devices power up and have a bad LCD and may have cracked glass. Devices may be functional with minor issues. Issues include bad speakers, camera, etc. Device activation is not guaranteed. Devices restore and have no iCloud lock.
DOA – No iCloud
Devices don’t power on and will be dead on arrival. Devices include issues like no power, cracked glass, bad lcd etc. Devices range from moderate to heavy use & are not fully functional and have no icloud account lock.
DOA – iCloud/Activation Locked
Devices do not power on and will be dead on arrival. Devices include issues like no power, cracked glass, bad LCD etc. Devices range from moderate to heavy use. Devices are not fully functional and have an icloud account lock.
Returns
We know that mistakes happen, and returns are a very important part of every business. Our units come with a 30-day functionality-only warranty, if stated on invoice. (Does not include cosmetic grading)
GlobalGeeks reserves the right to accept, deny or exchange any RMA units for similar model, memory, grade, and specifications.
